Its a nice afternoon getaway for us. We pack up and head to the Birmingham Zoo. The kids love all the animals,but especially the elephants,crocs and other reptiles..Its fun for them and for me. The Zoo has homeschool classes for elementary levels which keeps them busy also. Its great.

The Birmingham Zoo is a nice way to spend an afternoon with the family. They have lots of exhibits as well as other things to do and see. You can eat there or take a picnic. The gift shop is always fun to go through too.

I always enjoy this zoo because it has a very nice elephant exhibit. I am one who believes it's not a zoo without elephants! You can spend an enjoyable day with your family taking a stroll...or take the train for a quicker tour.
